Amazing Murals

Ito is based on a series of photographs taken by #MirandaLichtenstein during a residency in Ito, Japan. Using a 4x5 camera that allowed her to create areas of sharp focus, distortion, and doubling within a single plane, Lichtenstein photographed still-life arrangements against a backdrop of reflective mylar and handmade Japanese Washi paper.
