Holland Street Silk kaftans and kimonos

Vol. 7 — The Soft Revolution

This season feels like a quiet turning point. The kaftan — once a whisper of resort wear — has become the language of modern ease. In the studio, we’ve been thinking about how softness can be radical, how pattern can hold memory, and how comfort can be a kind of protest.

The prints scattered across our tables — birds, florals, geometry — speak of movement and freedom. They remind us that beauty doesn’t have to shout; it can hum gently through colour and form.

Holland Street Journal vol. 7From the balcony, the landscape folds into the horizon, and I think of women dressing for their own rhythm — not for the algorithm. The kaftan belongs to them: the dancers, the dreamers, the makers, the mothers.

At Holland Street, we’re still chasing that balance between intention and ease. Between the quiet luxury of The Row, the sculptural confidence of Mara Hoffman, and the joyful prints of La DoubleJ.

Vol. 7 is a love letter to that pursuit — to the art of dressing softly, living boldly, and finding beauty in the everyday.
