Cyprus in the early 1960s . The family photos that makes be smile EVERYTIME I see them!
These wonderfully happy slide images capture my dad’s side of the family during their time in Cyprus in the early 1960s, when my grandfather was posted there with the RAF. The lighting, haze, and natural beauty of the photographs almost look like they’ve been filtered for Instagram — but in reality, it’s simply the magic of vintage film cameras at work.
Looking closely, the fashion and style of the era shine through. My grandmother, chic as ever, wore her pearls with effortless elegance, embodying the timeless glamour of the period. Even the textured borders around each image add to their charm, framing these moments in a way that feels both nostalgic and artistic.
These slides are more than photographs — they are windows into a vibrant past, full of joy, style, and family history.
