Organic Inspired Textures: Spring Summer Textile Trends
Scrolling through textile trends last month, I came across a theme for Spring Summer Trends that couldn’t have arrived at a better time. While selecting materials from our sustainable manufacturer, the idea of organic inspired textures immediately resonated.
“Bringing the art of archaeology to your front room, Spring Summer interior trends present us with an abundance of natural surface patterns and textures. With nature being mimicked from the aesthetic of rock layers and composites as well as featuring purposefully loose threads and a natural colour scheme.”
We love how interior trends continue to bring us closer to nature each season, while also nodding to a more sustainable outlook on décor.

Choosing Fabrics: Cotton vs Linen
When I received fabric swatches from the printers a few weeks ago, my initial mindset was clear: I wanted a crisp, clean cotton base to show off design and colour. Influenced by Marimekko and Scandinavian style, cotton felt like the perfect choice.
But then I was shown samples on unbleached natural linen — and I was taken aback. Its softness, subtlety, and almost vintage feel gave it a distinctly “interiors” look. It was comforting, understated, and completely opposite to what I had envisioned. After colour testing, I managed to achieve a bright effect while retaining a rich coloured ground, proving linen’s versatility.

Printing for Different Styles
To cater to a variety of style requests, we are now printing onto both pure white cotton and natural unbleached linen, in different weights for different applications. And rest assured, all of our production uses environmentally‑friendly printing processes.
Why Linen Matters
Unbleached linen carries an environmental perk: fewer chemicals used in its production. It’s a material that feels authentic, sustainable, and timeless — aligning perfectly with our values.
At Holland Street, these choices reflect our commitment to sustainability and artistry. Our luxury printed silk kimonos, kaftans, robes, and interior linens are designed with expressive prints and bold colourways, while our textile experiments ensure we remain true to both heritage and innovation.
So, what do you think of unbleached linen? Do you prefer the environmental benefits, or the crispness of cotton?
