Holland Street Diaries: Founder Lauren Barfoot’s Update on All Things BUSINESS

In Holland Street’s business news today, we gained a fantastic insight into improving our PR with a workshop led by Serena Fokschaner. Serena, a highly regarded PR specialist and interior journalist, shared invaluable advice on raising brand profiles and attracting new customers through high‑profile editorial features. We learned how to craft stronger press releases, target the right journalists, and create clear, concise overviews of our latest news—skills that will help Holland Street continue to grow its presence in the luxury fashion market.

After the workshop, the day unfolded with a visit to Viola London, one of our beautiful stockists on Connaught Street, W2. The boutique, curated by Sara Lauchlan, is home to fabulous brands such as Raquel Allegra, Rupert Sanderson, Wild Planet Candles, Rockins, and of course Holland Street. Sara generously shared her insights on buying for the store and upcoming market trends for spring/summer, giving us a glimpse into what customers will be seeking next season.

We enjoyed meeting her lovely assistants and browsing rails of gorgeous dresses, blouses, coats, and jewellery before heading to Bond Street. At Selfridges Body Studio, we explored their inspiring edit of lingerie, loungewear, activewear, and beachwear, spotting stunning caftans from Lazul, Missoni, and Camilla.

The day was rounded off by popping into UBER cool ‘Matches Fashion’, then a coffee on Marylebone High Street where Christmas market stalls were being set up for the Christmas lights to be switched on.
